RETURN TO PERFORMANCE & PLAY
We utilise a systematic approach to returning you to play.
PHASE 1 - Our experienced physiotherapists will work closely with our S&C Coaches to utilise their individual expertise to ensure you get the best of both worlds.
Assessment & Testing
Assessment
We will put your body through a range of different tests and assessments to ensure we know exactly where we need to focus your development on. These include:
Range of motion testing
Hip and core stability
Biomechanics
Landing mechanics
Movement screening
Strength testing
Scientific Strength Testing
Depending on your injury we will utilise our ForceFrame and/or ForceDecks to measure the strength of your injured/non injured limb.
By using the ForceFrame and ForceDecks, we take the guess work out of your strength and power. The technology used produces measurements to newton forces, giving us exact measurements across your injured and uninjured limb.
See below some data extracts from current patients undergoing return to performance rehabilitation with us.
PHASE 2 -
individualised programming
We now know your goals and your desired timeframe to RTP -balancing that with how you are moving and the data produced by our strength testing technology we will then put together your road map to recovery and performance.
Our programming will include a full breakdown of individualised warm up & preparation suited to the specific session and your abilities whilst following a periodised and structured program focussing on a year round approach.
We utlise TrainHeroic for your programming which allows us to include videos and specific cues and reminders to suit you, see below:
You now have the option of continuing your program under the watchful eye of our S&C Coaches or take your coaching online so you can complete your program at your local gym.
Face to Face
Your weekly membership allows you to work on your rehabilitation as much as you like, under the watchful eye of your coaching team.
We are open Monday-Saturday with timed ‘coaching blocks’ either 7am-11am or 4pm-8pm. With a lunch hour coming soon.
Your program will be updated and refreshed on a 4-6 weekly basis.
Once you have successfully returned to play you can now join our athletic injury prevention program.
Online Coaching
We understand how difficult it is to find experienced Strength and Conditioning Coaches in Melbourne who have a passion to work with community athletes - so if our facility to too far away from your home or work to travel to on a regular basis then we have an online coaching option.
You will need to attend our facility in order to complete our initial assessment and testing phase
You will have access to your program through an app on your phone
You will then receive regular online and phone based coaching from your assigned coach
You’ll need to attend the facility every 4-6 weeks for regular performance improvement testing
